Is it nap time yet?

One of the most important things about holiday getaways is your temporary home-base: the place where you stash your stuff while you’re out exploring, where you lay your head when you come back after a long day of fun. You want a balance of amenities, value, safety and perhaps most importantly, location. When we stayed there in 2019 and then again in 2020, we thought ZZZ Hostel Don Mueang Airport had it all! It is the most convenient hostel near the airport in Bangkok.

Just 10 more minutes…

You know how you feel when you get off the plane and wrestle all your luggage outside into the tropical heat of a new place? You’re a little disoriented in that new time zone and you don’t know exactly where you’re going but you understand you have to wrangle all your bags and cranky traveling partners there. All you really want to do is take off your compression socks and stretch out.

The ZZZ Hostel is a tolerable 10-ish minute walk from Don Mueang Airport so you don’t have to worry about getting gouged on a city taxi or staying in the WiFi to power your Uber app long enough to get you into the car. All you need is your map app of choice and just a little more patience!

Let’s goooo

We typed 307/46 Song Prapha Rd on our phone and headed out. The most difficult part was the pedestrian overpass right outside the airport. While convenient to help you cross a busy road, the staircases aren’t always rolly-suitcase friendly. After the overpass, however, it’s just a straight shot down Song Prapha.

If the walk HAD been longer, Kim’s feet wouldn’t have minded in her HOKA ONE ONEs. Their rugged sole gives her grip and the insole supports her tired feet after a long day of adventuring. While we bought ours in person in Croatia during a podiatric pseudo-emergency, you can get yours on Amazon with no language barrier! Support your feet and us by using our link. Trust us, the HOKAs are no joke-a.

There’s a 7-11 just around the corner from ZZZ for quick drinks and snacks. The hostel provides a simple, decent carb-heavy breakfast every day that’s included in the price of your room. If you’re hungry later in the day, you might be able to grab a snack at their little restaurant located just out front near the street.

The beds were comfortable and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. When we fly into Bangkok and need a place to crash, ZZZ is at the top of our list because it’s the most convenient hostel near the airport in Bangkok. Book your convenient stay here.
